Air Fried French Fries
Frozen French fries become crisp, golden, and restaurant-quality in the Breville air fryer. With just a touch of olive oil spray and a sprinkle of salt, this simple method transforms plain frozen fries into a fast, delicious side dish with perfectly crunchy edges and fluffy centers.
Ingredients
Fries
- Frozen French fries (any cut or brand)
- Olive oil spray
- Salt to taste
Instructions
-
Insert the Breville air fryer wire rack into position 4. Select AIRFRY, SUPER CONVECTION, and set the temperature to 400°F. Press START to preheat the oven.
-
Place the desired amount of frozen French fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even crisping.
-
Spray the frozen fries lightly with olive oil spray and sprinkle with salt to taste.
-
Air fry the seasoned frozen fries at 400°F for 10 minutes.
-
Remove the basket and shake it well to redistribute the fries so they brown evenly.
-
Return the basket to the air fryer and cook for an additional 5 to 8 minutes, or until the fries are crisp, golden, and cooked to your preferred texture.
-
Serve immediately while hot and crispy. Add more salt if desired.
Notes
- For extra crisp fries, cook the final 2 minutes without shaking.
- Different fry cuts (thin, crinkle, steak fries) may require slightly adjusted times.
- Do not use too much oil spray—air fryers crisp best with minimal oil.
- To season beyond salt, try garlic powder, paprika, Cajun seasoning, or ranch powder.
