Happy Birthday Kathy - 70

Happy Birthday, Kathy

Verse 1
September twenty-fourth,
What a perfect day,
Seventy years of stories,
And plenty more on the way.
From Beloit, Wisconsin,
With a good book by your side,
You took those dreams to Washington
And stepped into a bigger life.

Pre-Chorus
Some roads wander, some roads bend,
The best ones lead you back to friends.

Chorus
Happy birthday, Kathy,
Everybody sing!
Seventy years of living,
And you’re still doing your thing.
Happy birthday, Kathy,
Raise a glass and celebrate,
More roads, more laughs, more memories,
And so much more awaits.

Verse 2
You and Cindy go way back,
Grade-school friends for life,
Different towns and different roads,
Through all the turns of time.
Tulsa, D.C., Wisconsin,
Costa Rica in the sun,
Michigan and Illinois,
And you’re nowhere near done.

Pre-Chorus
Pack a bag, pick a road,
There’s always somewhere else to go.

Chorus
Happy birthday, Kathy,
Everybody sing!
Seventy years of living,
And you’re still doing your thing.
Happy birthday, Kathy,
Raise a glass and celebrate,
More roads, more laughs, more memories,
And so much more awaits.

Bridge
September brings a change of season,
Autumn’s on its way,
But there’s no slowing Kathy down
On this September day.
Another year, another chapter,
Another road to start,
And seventy years of living
Still leaves plenty on the chart!
