Flautas

Servings: 12 flautas

Description: Flautas are flour tortillas which, when filled and rolled, look like flutes, the origin of their name.

Ingredients:

• 1 C finely chopped cooked chicken
• 12 flour tortillas
• Oil

Instructions:

1. Spoon 1 rounded tablespoon of chicken across bottom of each tortilla. Roll up tightly and secure with wooden picks. Heat oil (1 inch) to 350F in 4-quart Dutch oven. Cook filled tortillas in oil, turning once, until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Drain. Remove wooden picks. Serve with guacamole or salsa.
